Soooo, why is it called "THIEVES OIL?" What's the backstory?

Legend has it that the name origianted during the 14th century Bubonic Plague in Europe when four thieves successfully went from house to house robbing those who had succumbed to the illness. Once captured, the judge asked the four thieves how they were able to rob the dead and dying and not be afflicted with this terrible disease. The thieves claimed that they wore masks to look like the doctors at the time (which were beak shaped). These masks had the combination of herbs, spices, and essential oils found in the thieves blend today and this blend kept the four thieves from being afflicted with the plague.
